IAF Council Reorganisation

 The IAF was established back in October of 2020 with the goal of developing and popularizing antichess. Since its inception, we have put together multiple strong tournaments drawing the top talent in antichess, established recognized titles for our players, and created an open and knowledgeable community. Players from all around the world have come to learn about antichess or just hang out with friends. With Flo stepping down as President, we are looking to restructure the council for purposes of spreading out the responsibilities among the members. We are all part of this council because of our love for the game of antichess. Active participation and feedback on our current progress would definitely help us.


In the new vote, we will have 5 members on the steering committee and 15 members.

  Antichessers, The IAF council has been working hard the last few weeks, and finally we can present some results of our ideas. First and foremost, I'm talking about getting the "King of the Board" event off the ground. A "king" will have to defend his title from the challenger, who earns this opportunity by winning a designated arena. The title match will be broadcasted by our favorite streamers. This event is open to anyone but should draw the most skilled players. For those who are just starting to play and are at the beginning of their antichess journey, we are planning a series of arenas ranging from the category "emerald" to "diamond". These arenas will be held every Wednesday, and are designed to allow anyone to have a chance to fight for the top positions in a tournament competing with opponents of their skill level. International Antichess Federation - About

About the IAF Overview The International Antichess Federation (IAF) was founded in October 2020. It acts as a self-proclaimed governing body of Antichess competitions. Its purpose is to develop and popularize the Antichess variant and organize tournaments. History The IAF was founded by Antichess players who are active on Lichess (read about IAF and Lichess  here ), one of the most popular Antichess servers. The organization was born from the will of the players to have their discipline recognized in the world of international sport. Indeed, the founders want to bring Antichess out of the shadow of traditional chess favored by the internet platforms. Role IAF is in charge of organizing Antichess tournaments, in particular, the Antichess World Cup (ACWC) and the Nations League.
